Collagraphy is one of the more recent printmaking techniques. This workshop offers an introduction to the rich world of collagraphy and its different graphic possibilities. It is designed for participants with no previous printmaking experience. Through a playful and spontaneous approach, participants will experiment with different forms of the technique, including black-and-white and color printing.
Each session begins with a brief demonstration by the artist/instructor to introduce and inspire the students. Participants then engage in hands-on activities in which they experiment with new materials, practice creative thinking, and build confidence through the progressive mastery of tools, inks, and the different stages involved in creating a print using this fascinating technique.
By the end of the course, each participant will have completed three to four works exploring the proposed variations and will take part in an exhibition of the work produced during the workshop.
