“Threads of Memory” invites you to an immersive artist talk and hands-on workshop with Chilean-born multidisciplinary creator Indira Urrutia. Through a richly illustrated presentation, Indira will reveal the research behind her work and demonstrate how she transforms humble materials—copper wire, reclaimed cassette tape, and other found objects—into evocative knitted swatches and sweeping installations. Attendees will gain a deep appreciation for her meticulous, labor-intensive techniques and the powerful narratives of grief, resilience, migration, and social justice that animate every piece.
