Expressiones, is proud to present Fullness: Thresholds of the Invisible Weave, a compelling exhibition by Chilean visual artist Fernanda Rojas. In this body of work, Plenitud emerges not as a conclusion, but as an unfolding—an intimate cartography of the spirit rendered through the precision of geometric abstraction. Rojas interlaces the symbolic density of Mapuche textile traditions, grounded in ancestral cosmology, with the structural wisdom of I Ching hexagrams, forming a cross-cultural matrix where meaning is not described but revealed. Here, painting becomes a site of convergence: a language of signs that speaks to what exists beyond articulation. Partially created during her residency at Expressiones in New London, these works articulate a sequence of thresholds—essential passages in the human pursuit of totality. The notion of the weave expands beyond materiality into a metaphysical framework, where invisible connections are made perceptible through disciplined form and lyrical composition. Rojas’s practice embodies a rare synthesis of craft and contemplation, offering viewers an experience that is at once introspective and universal: a reminder that the path toward fullness is both profoundly personal and collectively shared.
