Honduran Partnership: Celebrating Artistic Exchange Across Borders

Expressiones proudly celebrates the continued success of our long-standing partnership with El Instituto Hondureño de Cultura Interamericana (IHCI) through our participation in the 20th Biennial of Sculpture and Ceramics in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. This year, we were honored to send our 2024 Artist in Residence, Veronica Ximenez 🇲🇽, to serve as one of the Biennial’s jurors—a tradition that reflects our deep commitment to cultural exchange and artistic dialogue across the Americas.

At the Biennial, she brought that same spirit to the international stage, helping to recognize outstanding works in sculpture and ceramics that reflect innovation, excellence, and cultural relevance. In her talk to young artists, Veronica emphasized the importance of embracing new technologies in contemporary art, encouraging emerging creators to explore digital tools as a means of expanding their creative language and global reach. The Biennial’s award celebration was a powerful moment of connection, where artists from across Central America and beyond came together to share, learn, and grow.

Expressiones is proud to have played a role in this exchange—one that continues to inspire a new generation of Honduran artists and strengthen the bridges of brotherhood, solidarity, and understanding through art.
