Expressiones Cultural Center from New London joined the event “Celebrate the Arts” organized by Groton Schools, infusing it with vibrant creativity. With the talented artist Amy Hannun, students embarked on a captivating journey: Exploring Maps with the Cat in the Hat. Through interactive read-aloud sessions and hands-on activities, students delved into the world of cartography. They traced paths, deciphered symbols, and navigated imaginary landscapes. The Cat in the Hat himself became their guide, leading them across paper continents and through ink rivers. As brushes danced and minds wandered, students discovered that maps are more than mere lines and coordinates—they’re gateways to adventure, knowledge, and wonder. Expressiones Cultural Center and Amy Hannun wove magic into our event, leaving indelible imprints on young hearts and curious minds.
